I know some of you guys are pretty astute when it comes to computers, and some of you are Mac users as well so I seek your advice: I would like to transfer some of my home VHS videotape stuff to digital format & burn to DVD to keep the memories alive a while longer.
Any recommendations (hardware/software/technique) on what has worked (or not) for you?

DVD R/W -R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW

OSX 10.6.8
