INCOMING! Nighthawk DST AC1900 Wireless-AC Gigabit Router (Black) w/DST Adapter
The refurbished AC1750 class router I got maybe 18 months ago keeps acting up so I finally found what I hope to be a good upgrade. The problem is that it keeps cutting out on whichever mode it is currently broadcasting (it's dual band so when the 2.4Ghz band cuts out I connect to the 5Ghz one and vice versa.) I suspect that one of the chips overheats...
It used to drop the active band maybe a few times a day but that has turned into once every 5 or 10 minutes when using a lot of bandwidth. It happens with all of my tablets so I know that the problem is with the modem.
Ta dah! Here is my soon-to-be new modem for $109.99 (that is like $100 in California currency since our sales tax is over 9%.) Still selling for $250 at Best Buy it is packaged with a matched range extender...

NOTE: What looks like a refrigerator Transformer bot with its arms raised in victory is in fact the DST (Dead Spot Terminator) range extender.
