Cyber security pro's are surprised we haven't been attacked already.
I went through each of my laptops, and deleted the caches, and cookies.
Upgraded all the software.
Backed up my files.
Enabled the secure boot option in bios.
With the Secure boot option enabled, you can only boot with a OS that has a signed boot option.
Not all OS has that, but Windows, and Linux Ubuntu does that.
I scanned my home folders with my AV.

I think Putin has bigger fish to catch than random people computers, but hey, whatever makes you feel safe.

Always a good move, and might get rid of malware, phishing and all that junk.

Agree, I am more concerned he will shut down our electric grid, or shut down our interbanking system, or even sabotage our internal gas/oil pipeline system. About as small as it would get would be like the movie, where he turns all the traffic lights green in Manhattan

Yes, Larger entities will be most at risk.
But, don't forget some virus and worms, go everywhere when turned loose.
Like putting Sharks in the lake, you don't know where they will stay?
Once the bad software hits the network, look out.
Also all the Ransomware that russia is famous for.
I had rather be a bit paranoid, and try to be safe, rather than be sorry.
I'm just trying to be an advocate for safe computing.

**BTW, the items I listed in the OP, are things I do regularly, anyway!
Also, don't forget to enable your firewall.
On Ubuntu, & Mint, the command is # ufw enable
