Oh yes, there are certainly substitutes. I was just stating what the original was. Aside from that, most substitutes would likely drain that battery much quicker.

I wonder if they used the same PCB for something like the SR605 which had some additional controls like mid frequency switch or something, and that is what the other op amp is for.

For reference, this is the picture I found of the SR405 preamp.

Thanks ! Now i have to figure out how this is wired....someone has been in here and un hooked the batt clip and the out jack . theres nothing on the 2 pins , top right , labeled TO SW and EQ IN on mine. Wondering if thats for a different model bass? this one only has a Blend pot.
Assuming the pin at bottom left (OUT) goes to the + on jack . and the batt neg goes to the switched terminal on the out jack (like emg)

I think i found a pot that will work with possibly some Dremmeling . Bourns PDB181-GTR04-504A2 . This one has a 19mm long bushing / 16mm body so it should fit

I almost posted that one. Since I knew it "existed". I figured it was ubiquitous enough that you'd find it if it worked and didn't post because it's too tall overall. I also didn't find it with PCB pins.

Follow up..eq pots didn't function until I stuck a op amp in there. Bass works perfect now.
