I need someone who can rewind a transformer

I need someone who can rewind a transformer for me.. I am down to ship internationally.

(To anyone else who needs one rewound, never assume your transformers bad, you should test it first)

• I contacted Mercury electronics and have yet to get a reply.

they got back with me quickly I have yet to talk with them on sending the transformer out.. they wanted photos

Any help to contact a individual to rewind a transformer I will greatly appreciate to save myself and anyone who will return to this thread..
I would prefer that no one shares any other information on this post than contact information and any note that directly correlates to the contact info for a transformer repair that way anyone in the future can quickly find the closest person to them..

I would check with Brian Sours at https://soursound.com/ I don't know him but I know a lot of local gear guys that do and I haven't heard anything bad about him.

You've got a good point I agree you shouldn't just assume its the transformer. I'm gonna add that to the top of the post

I'm not. I crossed two transformer leads on a amplifier with my multimeter with it on a while back when I first started trying to fix one.

I respect your opinion, your right don't own this thread.. I wrote that to avoid this having four pages and the fourth one has the closest recommend transformer repairman to a individual, everything inbetween goes into a different discussion, and someone else drops bread on shipping across the world because they don't want to read through a bunch of discussions on stuff they already know.. but the more I think on it that will be my fault!!! I will try to add everything recommended to the first post. So discuss away haha!! Make ME sort through it for infringing your rights to discuss. But when I fail to do that everyone who posted something else I blame you.. haha

I appreciate all your points, and that is often how it goes. I also appreciate and thank you for your edit of the first post, in general a request or suggestion here works much better than a demand, especially for new members.

I'm adding a link here to your other thread, where I hope you can solve the problem with your Peavey and verify whether the OT is bad or not.
Hopefully all discussion unrelated to rewinding can continue there, and rewind sources/suggestions here.
Meanwhile, I suspect a couple of your threads may get moved into an 'amp' section rather than in the 'guitar tech' area, but no big deal either way.

If you know twenty different people who rewind transformers in twenty different countries, you should send me twenty different ways to contact each of them and I will contact all of them and I will put the ones that give me a good quick response in the first post to help anyone in the future, I can list their location there for those who need to know.. the more the merrier I mean it! I'll try every contact I get.. for what it's worth in the mean time my pt is going on the back burner until I figure up the problems with my other amplifier that will give time for me to get with anyone I get in contact with and find the best option for me..

I do not.. that would be the reason I really hope someone else can use the post to find someone to fix a transformer in the future then no one will need to help them find someone.. eventually everybody's gotta be playing these amps instead of working on them right.. though I gotta tell ya I am incredibly grateful for the people who have taken the time to get one on one with me here every one on here have given me hope that I once lost.. especially the people who have given me contact with a transformer rewinder.. but that's not to discredit the other people.. there is not a amplifier tech anywhere around me that will work on a Peavey.. up until now I have been on my own with google.. before I've learned more on the way to properly test parts I thought while this would be very wasteful ( I would recommend you learn to test all you can first) you can know nothing about a amplifier, replace every single part, and have a brand new amplifier.. (witch you would have to be very careful were you got parts from I've heard of people getting bad parts new).. ok I found every other part, now I will try to find a Peavey classic pt or ot.. HA good luck! Again I gotta tell you all I am more grateful than words can tell for your help I thank you all greatly for your time..

they got back with me quickly and wanted photos, I showed them a output transformer In a Peavey classic, told them how many leads there were, the next day they quoted me 120 to rewind plus the cost to send it to them and return it to me.. they told me they will test one free of charge..
