Old Gibson T-Top pickup

I just had one like this. The two white wires were soldered together and it measured 7.8k but sounded very thin and weak. So I resolderd the white and black wire together and it sounds good now.reads the same 7.8k. It definitely has that T Top Quack and really great harmonics.
