  • demarzio evolution pickups

    Hey guys

    I just got 2 evolution pickups ( dp-159 and dp158 ) to put in my OLP MM1.
They are the black and cream pickups.

I have seen them mounted different ways (black to bridge/black to neck, black to bridge/white to neck, etc)

Since these pickups have pole adjustments on both sets of coils per pickup, does it make a difference sound wise which way they are mounted?
    I've only dealt with duncans.

    Thanks

    Clay

Each coil is voiced differently, so they will sound different flipped around.

You can try them both ways and what you like better.

Not really, but each coil is wound with a different gauge wire.
