Was playing my guitar yesterday and suddenly it just cut out. No sound. Nothing. Took of the lead cover to find one of the wires had been detached from the jack so I soldered it back on.
Now with both wires soldered onto the jack in the correct place, whenever it is plugged into an amp any bits of metal on the guitar buzz like touching the top of a lead when they are touched. This affects the sound terribly and gives a bad signal !
Could it be the internal wiring that needs a look or maybe just a new jack? (There is still a signal coming through the amp from the guitar but it isn't great.)
Thanks.
