  • Question about Sovtek Mig100 maintenance..

I have a Sovtek Mig100 and recently upon removing the power cable the ground prong detatched from the amp. I continued using it as it still worked and there was nothing I could do about it and yesterday it just stopped working. I checked my fuses and I believe the standby fuse is blown. My question is could this blown fuse be caused by the problem with the ac power? And if so can the ac piece be replaced? (i notice that there is a screw on either side of the piece, i just can't find replacements anywhere)
    Any assistance will be appreciated.

Your "IEC" power connector is broken? This is a fairly standard part, but in the case of Sovtek there's so much weird Russian stuff in there "standard" is unusual. Most any tech could find one that fits or alter the hole to get a standard one in there. Usually, a problem with the IEC connector will be before the fuse and unlikely to blow it. I'm thinking you've got a new problem.
