strat with p90's

i wonder what a strat with p90 pickups would sound like? would there be any difference? would it be better to have a mahogony body?

Depends on how the P-90s are wound. The earlier ones were about 8K and sound like big Strat pickups. The wounds wound more have more mids.

They wont sound like Strat pickups, but because of the longer scale length of the guitar, it will be twangier than a Gibson.
