I picked up a 90's Lotus LP copy. It has a crappy Accutune Trem basically a Kahler copy.
I am trying to learn how to repair guitars, just as a hobby. I dont play very well but I suffer from serious G.A.S and have about 12 guitars at this point. All in various conditions, from brand new to being refinished to broken.
So I got this Lotus most likely a 90's Korean made ply body. The trem is horrible. So I took the trem apart because it was missing various pieces cleaned it up put it back on and strung it up. The strings completely touch the frets. I have to adjust the trem way high to clear the frets. It def doesnt stay in tune and it has wicked fret buzz.
With the trem level with the body the strings rest right on the neck.
So here is my question:
Is the nut worn, is the neck warped?
the neck has a bit of an arch fret board side.
Now I know what your saying its junk..I know its not worth a lot I paid $40 bucks and I think the pickups are worth that.
Its hard for me to explain as I dont have all the lingo down so I will upload a couple pics.
Thanks!
