I have an old Kay guitar, that belonged to my nephew that I'm trying to make playable again. It is one that looks like the thin layers of wood are glued together, with a fairly nice looking piece on top, and bottom.
The problem is, parts were missing, and there was a rodent nest inside. The pickups look like humbuckers, but are a single coil, with a wood spacer inside the housing. Since only one pot had a cap, and there is no switch, I assume there would be 2 volume, and one tone control.
Would anyone have suggestions,(schematic), for rewiring this thing? Also what value, and taper should be used for the pots?
(I had hoped to be finished before Christmas, but I may not make it)!
Thanks for any help!
