  • Replacement arm for Gibson Maestro Vibrola ?

I know it's probably best to leave it off but a friend in Australia has a 70's SG Gibson
(walnut) that is missing the whammy bar..Maestro Vibrola arm.
I have searched for some time and found this
Replacement arm for Gibson Maestro Vibrola, nickel $30
Blackrider Vintage Guitar | Guitar parts

Are their any other sources that any one knows of I'm guessing there may be a few
in some luthiers junk box .

    Thanks

Allparts has a replacement as well. Originals probably WON'T be in anyone's junkbox, but more likely on eBay at a premium price.

If you get lucky, you can score an old Kalamazoo electric and harvest the parts. Sure, you'll be making the world a slightly worse place 'cause you're being a bit evil but on the other hand.... you'll have your trem arm and a Kalamazoo guitar that's worth exactly the same with or without the original parts!

Not as evil as all the vintage Mustangs and Duosonics I see advertised with repro neck plates.

        Wonder where the originals went?

I dunno, but that doesn't matter because I got this great deal on a '65 strat, all original in like perfect condition. I asked the dealer if he knew the history of it and he said he got it in a trade from another dealer.
