Reshaping a guitar neck

ive got a warmouth neck for a strat. its the largest one they make. i wonder if it could be reshaped to be more like a 50's strat? would it be cheaper to get a new neck?

It is a piece of wood. You can shape it using all the technologies that have ever been applied to the material.

150 grit sandpaper comes to mind as a slow but safe approach. Once it gets close start using finer grains.

Paying someone else to do it could be expensive, it is a fairly labor intensive task, but mostly a no-brainer.
