Hey folks,
I just recently tried some of the Jescar fret wire, the FW 57110 and man this stuff is nice, more consistent than the Dunlop wire. Seems the wire is stiffer too. Not sure if they harden the wire more than Dunlop does but this wire felt a bit tougher to bend by hand.
I recently leveled a strat neck from a 9.5 radius down to a 14 inch radius and the rosewood slab was thick. This enabled me to take it down to a much flatter feel without damaging the fret dots too. the Jescar wire was like icing on the cake... a very consistent wire.
I wanted to ask if anyone has run across any fretwire weather it be Jescar or any other brand that is a tad bit taller than the .057?
What I'm looking for is a scalloped feel without the scalloping.
Also has anyone tried the EVH gold? If so how was it?
