    If single coil pickups are being used the middle pickup could be RWRP for humcancelling. Or replace the middle pickup with a dummy coil...

    You might want to check out the Deaf Eddie website there are a lot interesting combinations for 3 single coil strat pickups, like two pickups in series coupled with the other pickup in parallel, in or out of phase. The possibilities boggle the mind...

      So do I have to do anything different for three buffered signals?

        By buffered do you mean active like an EMG or just independent tone and volume controls for each pickup like a Les Paul?

          I mean buffered as in pickup > volume > tone > active buffer x3, les pauls aren't buffered I don't think they're even isolated tones like on some jazz basses.

          Edit: that seemed a little combative, I didn't mean it to be; just trying to explain the set up.
