  • Is it really such a problem to leave Alnico magnets stuck together?

I get why I shouldn't let stronger magnets touch them. However, storing them separated from each other is a hassle. I have received many that were shipped stuck together and seemed no worse for it, and even if they were weakened I could re-magnetize them with neo's, right?

So is it really necessary to keep them separated?

Have any of you ever actually had any problems from this?

If they come stuck together, I leave them like that until I use them.
I recheck them when I use them, most of the time they are fine.

I haven't had any issues with that. Worst case scenario, as you suggested, just recharge them.

The worst case is having the magnets in a 'repelling' condition.

Definitely! When a pickup maker orders 1000 'pre-charged' humbucker magnets I really doubt that they are wrapped individually...
