  • EMG: poles or blades?

Do EMG's have pole peices or are they blades under the plastic. I have a MIK set neck mahogony tele that came with duncans and I want to try some emg's. Nowhere on the EMG site does it specifiy, or disclaim, that string spacing is a parameter that I should be concerned with. I assume, the tele would have Fender-spacing, although you never know with contract guitars?

The rest of the specifications (arch top, rear cavity, ring dims) are fully compatible but this piece of info, in my hands, seems unknowable

    Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that except for the exposed pole "vintage" models, all EMG's use blades.
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

Thanks guys, I will try them! The pups I am looking at are the 81/85 combo in cream so it matches my guitar. However, the 81 cream is on backorder.

I ended up buying a Charvel with 85/SA/SA, an original floyd, a Hosono neck (ESP founder) and a TKL case for $300, sounds great and a good deal. One of my prized guitars now...
