  • Tele replacement necks - heavy duty?

Any recommendations for tele style necks, preferably carbon rod reinforcement or some such? My son uses heavy strings - 14's - and has trouble keeping his neck straight.

How about a carbon graphite neck?

You could get custom builders to make wood necks with carbon/graphite... I don't know of any that are sod that way. I put carbon/graphite rods in my guitar necks. My Tele also has a large purpleheart center lamination.

    Nice and stiff!
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

I ran across those guys after posting last night, the 16" standard radius seems pretty flat. Maybe Carvin has something suitable, though I think he's hoping for something with a traditional Tele headstock.
