    I thought someone here might have an opinion or know of another forum where I might look. Here goes -
    Is automobile scratch remover (e.g., 3M has one) a reasonable approach to dealing with buckle rash? (on black Aerodyne Tele, not my stomach) Any other ideas or should I just resign myself to taking it in for refinishing?

    It depends on how deep it goes. It might need to be wet-sanded first, then compounded and buffed. Refinishing, to me, would be your last option, which personally, I would not entertain at all.
