Pickup hums

I replaced the pickups in my PRS custom24 with PRS McCarty pickups. The bass pickup has a hum. Its low in level. I checked the wiring and resoldered
but to no avail. Pickup bad? Anyone have an idea as to why? Thanks in advance.

Try wiring the pickup directly to the jack with noting else in circuit. If it hums and your bridge pickup doesn't I would suspect a defect. Do you have a bridge ground and a ground plane?
