HELP:Wiring a series/parallel switch for two single coils with an 8 pin slide as a switch selector

I need help wiring a series/parallel switch that is supposed to only work when both single coils are on, given the selector is a 3 way slide switch (wired now like this: http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...5f9116929a.gif , I suppose it might need some other wiring yet I can't figure it out), and the series/parallel switch is a push/pull pot. Any help is well received!!

This drawing is what I would call typical. I can't offer more help without knowing how your particular switch works. You may have to jumper some of your switch pins to get what you need.
