  • Questions on vintage Mighty Mite pickup

I got an old Mighty Mite MM1300 pickup at a yard sale for cheap. I am hoping to use it in an 86 Kramer Barretta I'm building up (it's kind of a mutt, so cool but not super desirable). I have a couple questions. First, current standard mounting screws are too big. Any idea what size/thread were originally used? I have the pickup just hovering in place to start with. Two, do pickups like this have an upside and downside? Currently the low E response seems super weak, but I haven't tried rotating it 180.

    TIA,
    Greg

Update: regular 4-40 x1" machine screws from Home Depot seem to work fine. I think the dead sounding E is because either the string itself or something with the bridge.
