Ive finished building my body out a Some American Ash hardwood and i have anuff wood left to build a neck. Can anyone tell me if Ash is a sutible wood to make a neck out of? What are the main differences between American Ash and Maple?

Ash is fine for a neck. MTD uses ash for some bass necks.
We have used things like poplar which works well too. Parker uses basswood for some necks.
