I have a weird old, modified Hondo bass with a PJ pickup configuration. The bass has a P bass pickup at the neck, a J pickup at the bridge, (1) volume, and (1) tone. It also has (1) SPST on/off switch for each pickup. My general thought would be to just use a standard p bass wiring and put both hot wires from the pickups on the appropriate lug on the volume pot and let the on/off switches control which pickup i hear. Is there a better way with this configuration?
