I just got parts to make strat, tele, precision and jazz bass. But I realize I don´t know what height the coil should have.. I plan to make a jig with right height. How do you guys mount the "bobbin" anyway. I struggled with a couple I made. Magnets didn´t slide in easy, ruined the forbon and didn´t look good. I´m not sure how I´m going to solve the problem.
Anyway, did some search and found these coilheights.
Strat 7/16"-15/32"
Tele 0,470" - 0,531"
Precision 0,433"
Jazz 0,500"
Can someone please tell me the "right" size. Traditional sizes to begin with..
