I just got parts to make strat, tele, precision and jazz bass. But I realize I donīt know what height the coil should have.. I plan to make a jig with right height. How do you guys mount the "bobbin" anyway. I struggled with a couple I made. Magnets didnīt slide in easy, ruined the forbon and didnīt look good. Iīm not sure how Iīm going to solve the problem.
Anyway, did some search and found these coilheights.
Strat 7/16"-15/32"
Tele 0,470" - 0,531"
Precision 0,433"
Jazz 0,500"
Can someone please tell me the "right" size. Traditional sizes to begin with..
