  • AZ Industries...magnet source?

Received an email a while ago from someone from AZ Industries out of Ash Flat, Arkansas.

According to thier brochure, they do all sorts of magnet fabracation with a variety of materials (ie ceramic, alnico, etc...). States that they can do custom manufacturing and have quick turnaround times.

Looks like they have Alnico 9.

I also got the email and a brochure from them. They seem very interesting. I plan on trying them out in the near future.

I need some custom sized magnets.
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

Don't know if this helps you guys, but here is a company that I've used for magnets:

They used to supply DiMarzio at one time. Don't know about now.

Dexter has alnico 5 bars .125 x .50 x 2.5" magnetized in the width listed in the catalogue. They have rounds .195" x .875" in the length. Interesting.

There are some German guitar parts suppliers that also sell magnets. A web search ought to yield plenty of results.
