Dimarzio says that in series use its humbuckers should have white and black connected, green grounded and red as hot. But on their site they show a wiring diagram for 2 humbuckers uising a 3 way switch with center being inner coils.

After deciphering, it amounts to this:
Position 1: Bridge series (red hot; white, black connected)
Position 2: Bridge north coil (red) parallel with neck south (white)
Position 3: Neck series (white hot; red, green connected)
So looks like the neck pickup has north and south completely swapped. What does that imply? And I am not sure how Position 2 is considered both inner coils. The way my pickups are installed (both PAF Pro), the neck has adjustable poles closest to fretboard and bridge has adjustable pole closest to bridge. So for that to be considered inner coils wouldn't I need both north coils in parallel?
Man this gets confusing...
thanks,
brian
