Polarity affects treble??? I have not "Heard" this to be the case but I could be wrong...anyone else experience this?

I too wind Bridge south and RWRP the neck for hum cancelling for what it's worth...honestly thats the way that I have always done it...I am ebarassed to say that I have never tried winding them both the same. I might like the combined sound better, who knows. I have never cared much about "Hum" so I am no sure why i have never tried making them both the same. If you are playin loud enough you don't hear it anyway

The problem presents itself just when you're NOT playing...

          Nope.

Pickup polarity will effect how you get feedback from the amp, but that's about it.
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein
