Good morning thread members!!! I realize this thread was posted a few years ago, but when I came across it, I thought "Hey, maybe I can help these people!" So I guess technically I am soliciting business, but hear me out as really I just want you all to know that my company can help find the right replacement magnets for the CuNiFe magnets in the pickups and I wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Jessica Bach, and I work at International Magnaproducts, Inc. We are located in Valparaiso, Indiana, and you can check out our website at: Worldwide Supplier of Permanent Magnets | Magnetsim (IMI) and our e-commerce website at: Magnets Online
We also just published an article regarding CuNiFe replacement magnet options:https://magnetsim.wordpress.com/2015...alnico-2-or-6/
One of IMI's direct suppliers in China is Sens Mag, and we constantly receive shipments and custom magnet designs from them. We have a great relationship (i.e. great prices!) and daily contact (our logistics engineer Rachel is Chinese so they can't fool us!!!) with Sens Mag. When I saw your post in the forum I thought it might be helpful to you and other guitar lovers of the original CuNiFe magnet design to offer IMI's help with any magnetic need you might have.
My boss and the owner of IMI has been in the magnet business for over 50 years. He knows EVERYTHING!!! about magnets so I am very positive he can help....please feel free to email me at: jessica@magnetsim.com -anytime, and we can help figure out what design and which specific magnets in Alnico might work for you as replacements.
Thanks!!!! Jessica, (888) 862-1898

I looked at your site, and didn't find anything that applied to guitar pickups.
Maybe I missed it?
So far your posts looks like Spam for Refrigerator magnets, etc.
IMO if you're going to post your products here, you need to be guitar and bass specific!

Hi, thanks for the info!!! We sell by the material, such as AlNiCo Rod, SmCo (samarium Cobalt), ceramic, Etc.
We don't advertise guitar pickup magnets, because that's not what they are. The original Fender wide range Humbucker pickup had threaded CuNiFe magnets in it, and since CuNiFe isn't made anymore, if you want to contact IMI we can help you figure out what can replace it. We have used Sintered Neodymium 2 or 6 successfully for other applications.
I just happened to see the posts in this thread and thought I would try to help you all find the right replacement magnets for your needs. We don't sell fridge magnets, btw IMI sells industrial magnets for engines, disc drives, sensors, linear actuators, satellites....etc....so if you need help with finding the right magnet, we don't design them for guitars or know much about guitars, but we DO know MAGNETS!! We appreciate your concern, but instead of plastering our site with general web addresses?
It would be nice if you please have something to offer when you post here, besides the line we make magnets.
These are some of the folks most of us buy magnets from here.
The last one offers some threaded alnico magnets.

If you want to make a price list of specific magnets, sizes, & prices, I will be glad to post it for you.
Thank You,

Jessica. I would like very much to see a list of your Alnico rod offerings in both .195" and .187" dia.
The common lengths used by pickup makers are from .530" long to .781" long.
The most popular bar magnets are 2.5"L x .50" W x .125" thick
Looking forward to another possible supplier of alnico and other magnets.
Thank you
