SJE, the virus alert I got was one of those that tries to get you to buy software, it tells you that you have multiple trojans and you better buy this shit and get rid of them if you're that stupid, I suppose they're out there, idiots I mean, I'd say it's coming from the mp3 host.

Well that ain't coming from my site - I'd take a guess that you PC is already infected, I'd assume you're using Internet Explorer I'd guess this is where the infection is. Try downloading Opera or Firefox and then try downloading the file rather than opening from source then scan the file when on your PC which will be clean.

I've just downloaded it via a clean IE 7 on my PC with no popups or virus warnings and then scanned it and it was clean.

I'd download yourself Spybot and clean up you Internet Explorer.

Or, just get a Mac and never worry about viruses and Trojan horses ever again!
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

I've gotten that pop up on web sites... obviously it was a scam because I'm on a Mac. Not only wouldn't I have had any of those viruses, but the web site would have been unable to scan my computer without me knowing it.

They use fear to make a sale!

I do have the free ClamAV installed which I use every now and then when I'm dealing with files from Windows users. I remember it found one of the files had one of those notorious viruses that was going around for a while. It couldn't effect my computer, but it would have infected a PC user if I sent it to them.

MS really should make that OS more secure.

            ...

Yep sounds like your computer already has some bugs in it. Don't have a clue how to get rid of them on a PC.

I was on a PC at my workplace, the virus was identified and quarantined by our antivirus s/w. Sorry I don't have the specifics it, as I'm offsite for the forseeable future, but that was the only link that triggered the error.

Right now, I'd be more concerned if I had clicked that 3rd link and NOT gotten a warning regardless of whether I'd been smart enough to not download any software.

The 1st pickup I am still getting used to myself and finding what it can do - under heavy distortion it really comes alive and doesn't lose detail in sound. Which I have to say has impress me thus far - particularly considering all the bad words I've read about the Alnico 8, the term muddy seems to follow it everywhere. I also agree that it's slightly bright under this mild distortion but that doesn't surprise me but once cranked up the brightest comes into it's own in keeping the note clarity.
Could you define "heavy distortion"? Like what kind of amp, tuning, and such. I ask because I'm a metal player and aside from EMGs, I don't typically find a pickup that can chunk up and keep clarity like this one sounds like it can.

Exactly, and whenever I go to a website that pulls that old shite I leave immediately. Now if I can just get the wife to not click on them life will be smoother.

                    Hows this?

                    Heavy riffs

D Tuning via Guitar Rig 3 again using the Ultrasonic Amp and Cab with the Mezone (a copy of the Metal Zone pedal). Same pickup - the Alnico 8 one.

Edit: Just for comparison here is the Alnico 9 based pickup - which personally I think comes into it's own with heavy distortion (although my picking in the midsection is a slightly iffy!) . .

                    Heavy riffs 2
