  • Mounting Mini-humbuckers in standard size hole

    Hello, I was referred here by someone at Aron's stompbox forum.

    I'm interested in putting a mini humbucker in place of a standard sized one (stock pickups on an Ibanez semi-hollow body to be exact). Is this at all common? Are there specialized brackets that allow for this? Any information would be appreciated greatly.

      Would that cover the existing large humbucker rout?

      It might need a custom mounting ring.

        You're right David. That not the right one. There are special rings for mounting a Mini HB in a standard rout, but the on in the link isn't correct. Ian, you shoul'd look for something like this:
