Whoops!
I was expecting that they were coming to get all those Hendrix guitars! It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

Well there is a down side to the mess Gibson is in. If they have to pay some big $$fines$$ or what ever and the current man is in charge, who do you think is going to pay in the end? Well if you said the consumer you are right. Gibson raises prices at the drop of hat leaving the dealers who signed on for the year having to deal with it. In the end customer pays more. Why, we are Gibson. We can do anything we want

I've been reading rumblings that Gibson isn't doing so well. Would be a shame if they vanished. They own alot of brands as well, would be like toppliing dominoes probably. Lets hope they have the sense to adapt to the current market, their prices are for sure inflated. My dippy little Epiphone plain top is way overpriced in comparison to other Chinese LP copies and not as good as some too. Who'd a thought that Korean Epiphones would be missed, well, I do for one.....http://www.SDpickups.com

They've made some real bad mistakes that helped put them where they are now. Small music shops absolutely hate Gibson and you can't buy Gibson guitars in any mom and pop music stores, they basically cut their own throats by only shooting for the big spender accounts and pulling out of the general market. I live in a small town as many do and you just can't guy a Gibson here, you have to buy it through Musician's Friend online. I personally wouldn't spend that kind of money on a guitar I can't sit down and try out. When I was a kid Gibson guitars were everywhere in every music store, I miss those days. Only place I ran into any of them were at the guitar show here and nothing was under $6,000, I don't think they sold a single guitar.....http://www.SDpickups.com
