I could probably put them in a bucker cover and cut the cover way down if I could figure a way to do it without too much hassle.

Do you have one of those little table saws from MicroMark? The carbide blade would do that easily. Just set up the fence for the height of the cover and run the cover through on it's side.

To mount it you could solder a brass strip with the mounting holes on the bottom, like these two examples:

No I don't have one of the table saws but I got some mini slitter saws for Dremel that are real sturdy, and an adapter to mount them in the router, it would probably work I bet. I notice Micromark is now selling those for like five times the price you can get them on Ebay. Yeah the brass tabs are a good idea...

Everything MicroMark sells is overpriced. I have the Proxxon version of the saw, which was a lot cheaper and looks like it comes from the same factory.

I mostly use it for cutting plastic and circuitboard, but it cuts non ferrous metal like butta.

They seemed to have discontinued the non tilting version though.

But i have this one:

I got mine on sale.

It's a real handy tool. First thing you have to do is remove the blade guard and splitter though. The splitter isn't so bad, but the guard gets in the way for almost every task.

Also it's one piece of brass going across the bottom of the pickup, so you don't have to worry about making two of them.

Well tonight I put the GFS NYII's on my Stratotone. I'm pretty happy with the tone, expecially the neck pickup. The only problem is that they are still too tall...the strings almost touch the neck pickup. The only thing I can think of to do is shim the neck and raise the bridge.
