Got various and sundry items I need to find elsewhere since the bottleneck at Guitar Jones...

    1) Humbucker keeper bars (and P90 keeper bars since they're basically the same) of spacings OTHER than 49mm. I like the sound of the Stewmac bars but they are a PITA when screwing in the polepieces on a 50mm humbucker. I have to get tendinitis grinding the outer polepiece holes a little bigger with a round file.

    2) Tele rhythm covers and humbucker covers that are tonally transparent, which is to say nickel-silver instead of brass.

    3) P90 baseplates, soapbar and dogear -- preferable nickle silver but I'll take anything at this point, and (I can dream, can't I) in various spacings.

You guys hauling all that machining and dying equipment into your basements, I just took a number and I'm #1...

EDIT: There's probably more but I'm sure I won't think of them until I'm way away from the computer...

Why don't you drill them out?

There was a discussion over at MIMF on this... someone asked if covers change the sound. I don't think any metal covers are "tonally transparent" but some alter the tone more than others. Plastic covers would be "tonally transparent." The thinner the cover the better too.

Interestingly, nickel-silver is a type of white brass...
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

You could try Steven Kersting for P90 plates , they are nickel plated brass but might help you out of a jam , I use the stewmac spacerbars too at the moment and find that drilling them out works for me too, I just put them in a vice and use a 1/8 ( from memory ) drillbit , I also clean up any swarf or rough edges
around the holes with a with a way bigger drill bit , using it as a countersink

I guess I could clamp it on my drill press too but sometimes I get a little lazy sitting at the work bench and don't want to get up and go across the room.

Probably should just take a night and do a bunch of them at once.
