Did Gibson put pickups with PAF Stickers in SG's in the year 2000? I've got one in the shop right now with PAF stickers that look newish (not 1950's) with shiny solder. The rings have the m69 markings, but they don't look old either, just look like somebody took half a stab at doing proper rings.

I don't know much about the forging of PAF's, and I would be shocked if these were, but if people are going to this much trouble to forge the externals, are they doing a decent job on the actual pickup? I'm wondering if there are any experts on here who can send me in the right direction to figure out what these pickups are. Maybe Gibson made these in 2000 when the guitar was made? Owner doesn't know anything about the guitar. Guitar sounds great, but I don't have an old SG with PAF's kicking around to put it up against.

Totally. I had no idea they put the PAF stickers on those. Makes so much more sense now.
