Ok guys. I got my pickup winded. The one we discussed those threads.

The combined resistance of both coil is 14.7K using 44awg/47swg wire. Each coil got bit more than 6000 turns on them. That is the max that can fit in those coils. The magnet used is ceramic.

Now i need suggestion for tone pot and cap combination for achieving dark metal tone. Many guys recommended using only 1meg vol pot and nothing else.

1 meg would be for maximum highs and output. 500K would be darker. I made a pickup much like that and had it in a guitar with 500K pots, and it was pretty dark when clean, but sounded really nice distorted. I think it was 15 or 16K. I didn't have any 44, so I used 45H.

This is a clip I did before I took it out of the guitar and cut the wire off.

It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein
