Lipstick tube pickups

Hi guys. It's been quite a while since I posted here. I just received three lipstick tube pickup kits from my brother -in-law from Canada. I honestly don't know what to do with them. I haven't the foggiest idea how to wind one. All I know is that the coil is wound directly around the bar magnet. Can somebody help me out? Do I have to make some sort of coil form to hold the coil?

I'd like to see how they wind it around a bar magnet without any shorting problems. Do they tape the corners maybe?
