Humbuckers

I'm new to this forum, so forgive me if this question has been answered already.

I'm about to build 2 humbuckers in the near future, and I was wondering if anybody knew how many winds would produce whatever output?

Is there a formula?

I'm looking to produce an output of 410 with the dc resistance of 11.03k.
This pickup will be made with a ceramic magnet too.

Also, do research for your self. Search google. There are plenty of websites out there which have your answer. I can recall 2 or 3 off the top of my head that I have come across. Seek and you will find.

Output depends on other factors than DC resistance. Thinner wire will read higher with less turns than heavier wire. So 5000 turns of 42 wont be as high as 5000 turns of 44, but they will have the same output. So DC resistance is meaningless as an indicator of output. It's only useful for comparing two pickups with the same wire gauge. In this situation, higher DC resistance will equate to more turns, and more output.

You should be more concerned with the tone you want, than some meaningless numbers. Those are mostly used for marketing by pickup makers.

But try the coil estimator to get you in the ball park.

I have researched this before. I'm not very tech savey, and I didn't know what to search....so I thought that I would ask for help.....

David.....Thank you as well. To tell you the truth, I'm looking to "recreate" John Petrucci's pickups, and fit them on a guitar I'm planning. I know I should be looking for my own unique sound....but, I just can't resist......
