Well, I mounted these in my Les Paul last weekend and they sound pretty good. I'm surprised they sound better than the stock pickups from Gibson. By comparison the stock units were very plain sounding. Not much character. I will be using them until I wind something better. I'm not overly comfortable with all the solder joints in the bridge unit, but if they break down I will redo them. I need to get my counter set up so I can really monitor what I'm doing. One strange observation: the neck pickup was wound to a lower DCR (7.2K vs. 8.1K), but had a higher output volumn. I probably need to tweak the height of the bridge unit. I must have played for 3 and a half hours when I first fired these up. Very inspirational.
