  • help with storing magnets

    hi guys

after aquiring various types of alnico bar magnets, ive been left with the option putting the around my house apart from eachother. im trying to figure a more permanent way to store them and still having them retain a good charge. any suggestions.

When I buy magnets from Mojo, they are not charged.
So you charge them up when You use them.
Another source FX-Addiction, sends them charged all stuck together.
I just leave them stuck together.
I still charge them when I use them.
I want to make sure they are all at maxium charge.
Rod Magnets for single coils are a pain to try and use charged.
I usually rub them across a couple magnets stuck on my desk to discharge them enough to work with.
If you don't have Neos to charge and recharge them, you need to come up with some if your going to wind.
    Good Luck,

According to my gauss meter the readings ,They are usually a little unbalanced when i pull one from a bunch, not degauss just uneven compared to a freshly charged magnet
,i do think one should recharge or charge magnets just be installing them to get a more consistent results & get a fully charged magnet
like Terry said ,charged magnets can be a pain in the but
Another thing ,who wants to bevel pre charged alnico rods
2 neo magnets would be the best way to go ,they are dirt cheap
