Lipstick Pickups

A few days ago I finished a set of three lipsticks for a Strat. I wound all three on the bobbin using poly coated wire. All three pots in the guitar are 500k pots. To experiment, I changed these to 250k but I actually found I liked the sound of the 500k's better! They were a struggle to make but I ended up coming up with a method that is fairly consistent.

I think they actually sound pretty good, even compared to my vintage U2. They retain the qualities of lipsticks but I don't find these to be too thin or icey. When I get a chance, I'll make a recording of just the guitar and post a link for anyone who's interested.

I'd be interested in the specs off your lipsticks on your vintage U2 if you have an accurate way to check them?

I have a '61 shorthorn. The pickups in that are 3.8K and 4K, measured in the circuit.

So my Question from this thread.
You say the 3 pickups sound pretty good in the Strat.
Do they sound better than regular Leo type single coils.
Or just different.
I know the Lipsticks sure look Way Cooler!
IMO it hard to make a Strat sound better than Late 50s & Early 60s Style Single Coils.
