  • Buffing Humbucker Covers Video

I thought people might like to see this. I shot some video of my buffer working on my P.A.F. cover repros last week. I'm not looking to sell these to makers. It is just a brief video of what goes into buffing a cover prior to plating.

Thanks Terry. I feel really lucky that shops like this are still around and that they are right here in my own backyard.

wow, i didn't realize the amount of work involved in prepping one pickup for plating. That is hugely labor intensive! the energy required to run a 220amp 3 phase machine like that alone probably costs as much as paying the guy to buff the cover

It really is a lot of work to prep the covers for plating. Those buffing machines are very powerful and run super smooth even at the very high RPM they are set on.
