Iīve just got a bag of broken fender N3īs does anyone know what gauge wire they use looks like 42 awg Formvar and judging by the dc resistance reading 3.7 k ohms on the working coil it looks like that would fill the coil to the original size. If anyone knows the correct size I would be grateful. By the way Fender really should do something about the way they connect the lower pickup coil to the printed circuit board itīs really open to breaking if there is any expansion in the pickup, reminds me of all those gibson humbuckers with the circuit boards where the magnet wire would snap off from the solder connection.
