Seymour Duncan Vintage P90 spacers

Hello,

I just got this PU and I wonder what the dark grey plastic spacer under both magnets are for.
(Between baseplate an magnets)
The PUs are unusally tall, the coil however is standard height.

Any ideas aboubt the spacers?

Most likely to increase the height of the pickup so that the cover will fit on. They are likely only on the bridge position.

Actually the pu is 5 or 6 mm taller than the cover i.e. the cover doesn't reach the baseplate.

Can you measure the spacers? I think the ones I use are something like 4 mm thick

The spacers are about 5mm, the pole screws are flush with the baseplate.
