What does the height of the winding area measure?
Probably somewhere in the 1/4 inch?

Intriguing Pickup.
I guess the magnets are polarized up and down.
It looks like you could take 2 Ceramic humbucker bar magnets and set the pole pieces on the edges.
They do this in the mini humbucker.
That way you could use regular available ceramic magnets for humbuckers?
