  • Gibson Nighthawk mini HB neck PU: structure?

    Hi,
Does anybody know if the mini HB neck PU of Gibson Nighthawk's has an "Epi like" miniaturized PAF structure (with steel pole and bar mag underneath) OR if it's a dual magnet Firebird style? The sound suggests to me the first answer but the cover is a solid one without screw poles...

At least I can share the specs that I've measured (ain't got the time to unmount the PU in order to look its baseplate):

    15.31k

    4.8H

And its resonant frequency through an average cable, in BLUE:

I LOVE the sound of this PU so I wanna know more about it.

Also: do you know someone who sells replicas of this model?

    Thx! :-)

EDIT - of course, I'll be grateful if someone tells me the kind of magnet(s) and wire used too.

If you got one, the easiest way to find out is open it up and see.

15.31k? Must be wound with 44 gauge wire.
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

      Thx for the info. :-)

I can't open it: it's not mine. I've just tried it and measured the specs while I was "refreshing" the guitar for its owner... Hence this topic.
