    To the OP.
Sorry your thread was so severely Hi-Jacked!!!
What most of this had to do with your request, Sure Escapes Me???
If anyone wants to make the OP a Pickup recommendation, or offer?
I would shoot Him a PM!
Good Luck on Looking for something different!
Looks like some of the guys are Hell Bent on selling you their Interpretation of a low wound PAF.

Respectfully to the OP... This board isn't about selling pickups.

Why not, don't most here, sell pickups.
It's better to get on the sidelines to do bizz.
If You wanted someone to build you an Amp, wouldn't you go to an Amp Forum?
        Peace, and Tone,

          How about this...

          What is this forum for?

Personally, I like to BS about winding to someone other than my lady. I know she appreciates it

I was assuming the OP ended up buying Coppers Ford

It's been sort of an unwritten rule forever that you don't sling your wares on the board. If someone surfs in they can hear samples in the showcase, contact a maker etc... Otherwise we all would have to sift through shit like this every time we visited. The amp forum is a fantastic resource for people that build amps, not for those that buy them.

If this board isn't about selling pickups, what is the Pickup Makers Showcase for? (Hint )

I agree with the comments from Possum and others. JM2C, but I think high output humbuckers are really only good for chunking metal riffage. The PAF/patent-style "vintage" ones seem to be better for everything else.

So yeah, for high output I'd take the 5.4L Ford over a Duncan Invader any day. For that extra push over the cliff, you can remove the muffler, or wait for it to drop off from rust.
"Enzo, I see that you replied parasitic oscillations. Is that a hypothesis? Or is that your amazing metal band I should check out?"

That's why they sell all kinds of Pickups.
If everyone was satisfied with Low Winds, why are people constantly searching for something else?
Seymour Duncan, and Dimarzio wouldn't sell a hundred different bridge models.
I've never met a guitar player that was totally satisfied with the bridge tone, whatever he has.
Usually there is always something that is undesirable.
That is why I started winding.
If Your going to pay money for something you don't like, It might as well be your own, for cheap.
However I have come up with some pretty good choices in the Process.
Now Neck P/Us are another story.
Usually a likeable neck Tone is achievable without too much Fuss.

Well, because it's human nature to be never satisfied with what you have and constantly searching for something else.

I've never had a bridge pickup tone that I entirely liked, either. My solution is to not use the bridge pickup that often.

You do see the quest that so many have?
