Some beautiful pickups in there - almost a pickup primer in the blurb too.

Wonder what their parts store looks like...

I bought one of the P90s off ebay to see what they sounded like and it was awful!!!! It was so bright that even turning the tone all the way down it was still shrill as hell. I imagine all their stuff was like that. I striped it and use it for a tester for different winds....

      1. Each wire is carefully wound to get exact DC resistance.
      2. Special blended wax-dipping (mixed Bees wax and Paraffin wax with special ratio) eleminates microphonic noise.
      3. wound with special gauge, heavy formvar coil.
      etc...etc...
Way too much info for typical musicians. ( that I know anyway ) They don't care about all that stuff. They just want pickups that sound good. Hell, I'd be amazed if they could read all that!
I wonder, why would they sound crappy? Could it be the computerized winding machine, cheap parts, or over engineered? From the descriptions they should be amazing! Never heard of them.

It's just wire wrapped around some magnets!

I'm really tempted to buy one of thier cheapo humbuckers to take it apart. I suddenly get the feeling that this company are the people making the "Dragonfire" crap we're seeing on Ebay lately.
I bought one recently. And trust me, it's crap. With a capital K.

Someone ought to talk to them to convince these guys to just sell parts instead of complete pickups.

I was reading the description for the Wood Custom Narrow Bass pickup. They wrote:

Active pickup has low impedance, wide frequency range, quiet, and less accuracy in general.
What a crock! When does wide frequency range = less accuracy?

Unless we are talking about EMG, it doesn't.

            These people haven't a clue.

I think that is rather a language problem. Many of the product describtions sound a little messed up.

Yeah the English is poor, but they still go on about how these bass pickups are smoother and more musical.

That's not hard if you are comparing them to EMG-DC's though! They are anything but smooth.

Maybe they sound smoother and more musical when playing traditional Korean music.

                    That could be interesting.

That was my original message to them....to see if they sold parts. Apparently they don't because they sent me their pickup price list.

All Those are plated brass covers, brass baseplates........Not ideal for some.....I bet they sound similar to a dimarzio, scratchy and cardboard sounding.
