      The brass screw we have now is much better than the one we were selling previously. I had the same issue with heads popping off and the slots stripping out.
      The new ones are MUCH stronger and do not strip or break. They do have a darker patina to them and are full thread to the head.
      It is also made in America.

            I've used them a couple of times now and I don't have the problems I was having with the other suppliers' screws. The threads are nice and deep and they grab well.
